American Gothic Skeletons Sticker

tie-dye logo skull A Grateful Dead rendition of an iconic painting done by Grant Wood in the 1930’s. The original painting hangs currently in the Art Institute of Chicago. The original painting featured a mid-western American farmer with a pitch fork standing with a woman, presumably the farmer’s wife or daughter. In the background there is a frame farm house with Gothic elements in its design.

The Dead version has all of the above and more, since the Dead version has skeletons and a guitar! Oh yeah, and the building in the background isn’t a farm house, it’s Terrapin Station! I guess your average Dead Head just sees skeletons everywhere!
